Erosion control blankets hold seed in place, while absorbing rainfall impact and wind forces. Their three-dimensional structure absorbs water while maintaining close contact with the soil. This provides the ideal environment for seed germination and reduces the risk of burn-out after germination. The organic materials (straw or coconut) decompose as the vegetation matures, thereby providing the vegetation with necessary nutrients for growth.
