Defintion
Drill
seeding is
the preferred method of seed planting since the seed is placed in the ground,
giving better protection and seed to soil contact. Less seed is necessary for
germination and a good stand of grass. This process not only provides for a
good planting success rate, but it also reduces your cost.
Preperation of
Soil
The area to be Drill Seeded
needs to be easily accessed by the tractor and drill and should be free of
debris. A pulverizer or chain harrow
should be used to cultivate and smooth out the soil, this will make for good
growing conditions.
Maintenance
Irrigation is optional, but
the best results are undoubtedly achieved by providing regular water. We rarely
will guarantee a job, unless it is irrigated.
